I have GenericPagecontroller in my project which renders GenericPage.aspx. There are links in the homepage and in two other pages for this GenericPageconroller.Now based on from where it is invoked, i have diiferent data to pass in to the GenericPage.aspx. ie If the Controller is requested from HomePage i have different set of data to show in the view and if it from other page i need to display diiferent set of data in the view. As of now i have kept an optional parameter in the Index method (the default method in GenericController) and added a querystring in the URL which holds the current page's name. Thus from the paramter i find from which link the request comes and load the appropriate data into the view.

Is there any way to achieve this instead having a querystring which carries the related information...? some way to dynamically to find this ?

Hi,

We have a local html file which uses jFeed to get some rss feeds from the web. We are giving UniversalXPConnect privileges to this html file via prefs.js. This code was working absolutely fine upto Firefox 4.0.1, however as I upgraded to Firefox 5 the code stopped working. It is now returning empty feed object in the success call back of jFeed's getFeed method. I am unable to find any changes related to this issue in Firefox 5's change logs and here.

My guess is that Mozilla has removed support for cross domain access from non privileged code in any case i.e. even with any kind of permission given to the local html file, you can not access data from cross domain. If we want to access the cross domain data then, I think, we need to use XUL based components or applications.

Any idea/solution/workaround guys?

SOAP Request namespace problem

Hi,

I am trying to access a web service in another web service(hosted in Axis 2). I am using Spring-WS in Axis2 to access the external web service. The XML bindings are generated via JAXB. Now when I am trying to send a request to the external web service it is forming a request in the following form

3. Can this problem be due to Axis2 because same code accessing that external service works fine in my another Spring MVC applicaiton?

I have an asp.net version 4 application which is using windows authentication for security this works fine on a machine running iis 6 windows server 2003, but when migrating to iis 7 windows server 2008 r2 standard I get the following error:

iis authentication is enabled for both windows and asp.net impersonation, with the others being disabled (I have tried various combinations with no success). This is running in its own .net 4 app pool and I have tried both integrated and classic managed pipeline modes. From the event log I can see this code is causing the time out problem:

The url I am trying to fetch is some url which I get during process of login to yahoo.de email account.(login to yahoo.de did not work for me so was trying this code). If I enable wireshark(filter-http or (http.request.method == POST or http.request.method == GET) and then type this url in browser , press enter and finally I notice in wireshark that the return code of the above url is 302 which means it is redirected. Also when I run my program and check in wireshark, I see that method returns the code 302. So my queston is why it is giving me 200 as a statuscode as output and not 302 ?

I am kind of stuck here and dont know what to do..Any help would be highly appreciated.

that can call a common utility controller like

locale/change/es

authorization/login

How do I get these methods (change, login) to redirect to the previous actions (details, info, bar) while passing the previous parameters to them (5, bob, 7)?

In short: How do I redirect to the page that I just visited after performing an action in another controller?

So I have this two classes:

This is my AutoMapper configuration

When I do this it works just fine

In the scenario where the error is thrown I simply want to construct an ViewModel to display an Edit form.... what is the standard way of doing this?
